Craft mead made in Mexico City, using local exotic honey varietals

We are a nano meadery based in Mexico City which specialises in show meads made from endemic honey varietals from several states in Mexico. We produce batches all year round and bottle with a slight carbonation. Our current traditional mead line-up includes: Azahar, Acahual, Mezquite, Chiquelite, Mango, Avocado, and Tamarind. Our variant line-up includes: Bochet, Hibiscus Metheglin, and Bluberry Melomel.

History

The company founders, operators, and meadmakers are Dennis Lazarus and Alberto Colin. They are college friends that have been making mead at home since 2007. After years of suggestions from friends and acquaintances, and more importantly, years of methodically and scientifically improving their methods, they decided to go commercial in 2016. The company is now well positioned in the emerging albeit still small mead market in Mexico. Lazarus & Colin Mead can be found in many restaurants and bars in Coyoacán and the Roma neighbourhood in Mexico.
