We are a boutique meadery, producing small batches of hand crafted traditional mead from local ingredients.
Mead in New Zealand®. Does our name make you smile? It made me smile…well, actually I laughed out loud the moment the name popped into my head!
Our mead is indeed made in New Zealand, Aotearoa, land of the long white cloud…godzown to most New Zealanders. This fair and beautiful land known for its majestic mountains, bountiful oceans, lush green terrain………Hobbits……and rather magnificent wines.
Joy, our very first wine, won a silver medallion (traditional mead, dry) at the 2019 European Mead Makers Association, Mead Madness Competition....WOW! Locally sourced honey blended with pristine New Zealand spring water and held in the sweet embrace of mother nature. It journeys through the magical, mysterious alchemical processes of fermentation and maturation. Then when all the signs, the omens, are aligned, emerges as a golden ambrosia. A nectar for the gods. A mead.....just for you...and your family. .. . . .and friends... . .. . .
