Swedens first real meadery and the world's first mobile meadery.

Mjödhamnen has its fermentation tanks installed in a renovated bus and
can in this manner produce meads made with fresh, local ingredients in
several different parts of Sweden. We have made mead all over Sweden,
sourcing honey directly from beekeepers and have released over 50 meads
on the market in Sweden.

For export of mead we cooperate with Grimfrost, who specialize in
selling Viking craftmanship items made in Sweden and have developed a
series of 3 meads that summarize the uniqueness of Swedish meads well.
These are Jarl's Brew a sweet, yet fresh mead made purely of honey from
meadows with hints of linden, SuttungR Brew a lingonberry mead with
heather honey spiced with pineshoots, and Bear's Feast Brew a completely
dry mead made with fresh pressed bilberries instead if water.

History

Mjödhamnen was founded in 2007, initially doing only import of mead to Sweden from Poland and USA. However, in 2010 the mobile fermentation unit and bottling facility were built and since then we've been exploring what Swedish nature tastes like in a bottle
