Located on a farm 20 km west of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, with a Main Street showroom in the city of Moose Jaw, Prairie Bee is a family owned cottage winery producing world-class meads in traditional, melomel, and sparkling styles. Tastings are available year-round at our Moose Jaw showroom, and farm/winery tours will open for the summer season starting in 2020.

History

Prairie Bee actually began as Grandpas Garden, a u-pick established by accident on the Canadian prairies. The family started keeping bees in order to get complete pollination and good fruit set in the orchards, which resulted in harvesting A LOT of honey, and provided the impetus to start making mead as a hobby. Mead being as good as it is, it wasn't long before the business shifted its focus, and Prairie Bee Meadery was licensed to produce in 2016. Our award-winning wines have been enthusiastically embraced by the people of Saskatchewan, and our company continues to grow as we look to expand into export markets!
