MKÜ MEAD, made with the purest honeys in the world and spring water

We are a Chilean Hydromieleria (Meadery) that since 2011 produces fermented meads for a long term fermentation process. Our Mead is gourmet quality and our goal is to make Mead an alternative within the range of high-end sweet wines. We have 3 varieties 12°alcohol: traditional mead, metheglin with ginger, cardamom and lemongrass, and our native melomel made with Maqui, a fruit endemic to southern Chile with the highest concentration of antioxidants on the planet. Our Meads are full of native identity and express the best of the Chilean terroir. Our meads have been awarded internationally with gold and double gold medals.
Finally, our Braggot beer, 50% Mead 50% Malt, is positioned in Chile as a favorite in the short fermentation and low alcohol content category.

History

We are a world-class Mead Atelier located in the Bío Bío Valley, specialized in Mead, which is an alcoholic beverage made by fermentation in which honey is "vinified", it is of its own and unique category. "Mead" is in fact the oldest alcoholic beverage known to man. In 2013, Evelyn Leyton sets out to create a gourmet Mead for the Chilean market by creating the company Andinian Spirits. Thinking especially of a high-quality drink, he focuses on having women primarily as his target audience.
