History

Enlightenment Wines started out as a small part time farm winery in 2009 by Raphael Lyon. In 2015 Lyon reached out to Anthony Rock and Arley Marks with the intent to join forces and grow Enlightenment Wines into a full scale production meadery with a tasting room and cocktail bar in Brooklyn New York.

Mead production

Nòught made strictly from wildflower honey and wild yeast- fermented in used oak barrels. Memento Mori Dandelion Wine Made with foraged dandelion flowers. Night Eyes Sparkling mead with Cranberry, apple, cherry, rosehips and sumac. Floralia Botanical Mead mead with foraged juniper, lavender, and marjoram. St. Crimson Black currant mead infused with black currant leaf Fey Apple mead with apples from the Hudson Valley Raise the Roof Sour-fermented mead that is then bottle conditioned to make it sparkling. Daggar Cherry mead infused with bitters: chamomile, hemlock, yarrow, and fir. Saturnalia Dry, wild fermented apple mead naturally infused with locally harvested lemon verbena
