Polish Mead Trójniak is fermented from one part of honey and two parts of water. It is made according to a family recipe and in a cold way.
The traditional Polish mead of the trójniak category (1/3 of honey) is made in a cold way, mainly from autumn honey with a small addition of spring honeys, herbs and fruit juices. Alcohol content is about 13%.
This Polish mead is produced by cold fermentation from the same parts of honey and water and with the addition of a mixture of various local Polish herbs.
Jabłkowy is Dwójniak Polish Mead and melomel, which means that a half part of a base consists of honey, and 30% of rest water content is replaced with fresh apple juice.
